What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a slow paced style of yoga where postures are typically held for 3-5 minutes each. Yin Yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissue with the aim of increasing circulation to the joints and improving flexibility. The class is also designed to improve the flow of qi, the subtle energy said in Chinese medicine to run through the meridian pathways of the body.
Yin is not intended as a complete yoga practice in itself, but rather as a complement to more active forms of yoga, and our typical “yang” lifestyle. It’s a perfect complement to your regular Bikram practice.
There is absolutely no experience necessary and it is suitable for all students regardless of age, size, and injury.
